Bindle Kitty of Suggs and Kelly Feral Colony

Fall, 2020 – November 12, 2022

The Suggs and Kelly Feral Colony lost its youngest member, Bindle, on November 12, 2022. She was a tragic victim of HBC on Hampton Street in downtown Columbia, SC. She was 2 years old.

Bindle was pre-departed by her sisters, Little Bit and Graphite and numerous members of the Suggs and Kelly Colony. She leaves behind her Mother, Hobo, her Grandmother, Hissy Mama, and the other members of the Colony - Batgirl, Earnestine, Ernie, Grizzly Adams, Gumby, Tom Thumb, Sire, and Spitfire - as well as her broken-hearted Caretakers.

Bindle was a much-loved kitty cat, whose brief life with us will always be a joyful memory, just as she joyfully chased the autumn leaves in the parking lot where she lived.

We know that she must now return to her true forever Home, but that she looks back to say, “Thank you, friends, for all you did for me and continue to do for my feline friends. While your sadness is very painful to you right now, it is just the deep measure of the warmth in your hearts for all creatures.”

Bindle - your caretakers are devastated that you were taken away so soon. We leave you with this blessing:

“May your beautiful spirit remind us that one reason we are put here is to help one another along the way. And let us always remain awestruck at this daily miracle of freely given love with grateful, though sometimes sad, hearts.”

We love you, sweetie, and we miss you - especially watching you frisking in the leaves…
