Thea Sophia Thompson beloved Rottweiler crossed the Rainbow Bridge today April 20th, 2023.

I didn't want today to be the day.............I never wanted it to come. But I promised you I would never let you suffer. Your eyes let me know. Your eyes have always let me know what was in your heart. You have been my truest companion and friend. Our bond was strong and it will never be matched.

2010 July 4th I brought you home. You started to blend with the pack. The next several years you welcomed many foster bassets and became the best sister to your dog family.

2012 our life began to change. Thank goodness I had you in my life. You made every day better and worth the struggles we had to face then on our own. You kept me strong. I was a better person because you were with me through it all.

2014 You started helping me keep my independents and being by my side all the time. You did your duty as an official Medical Response Dog. Your training, our bond, and your skilled ability were the only way I could keep working. We were a team!

2016 We had so many adventures and trips to keep for memories. Working alongside me you were amazing; showing such dedication through many long days and evenings.

2018 You started to retire. I needed you less and less and you knew that even before I did.

2020 You no longer needed to be with me to work. I started leaving you at home. But I've always wanted your sweet face to be the first one I saw in the morning. And always the last one I have seen before falling asleep. You were still my steady heart.

2022 You started to slow down and needed my help. It was the least I could do for all of the dedication you had given to me. We battled together once again.

2023 You broke my heart when you had to leave. Even with such incredible strength and fortitude, you have now grown tired. Make that journey peaceful my sweet brave girl. My life was so much better because of you. I will miss you for an eternity.
