Amelia Anderson/Truett
August, 2011 – November 20, 2025
Arabella Anderson-Truett, a member of “The Gang of Six” (a tiny little division of the City of Cayce House of Cats), was lovingly euthanized on November 20, 2025 after having endured the symptoms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She was 14 years old.
Arabella was preceded in death by her sisters, Amelia and Jacque and her brothers Doolittle and Lindbergh. She leaves behind the last “Gangster” - her brother Blackie - as well as the remaining members of the CHOC household and her caregivers Stoney and Valerie.
Arabella’s story started before she was born. In the Summer of 2011, we were feeding a pregnant tabby female on our back porch. She gave birth to 6 kittens at a neighbor’s home down the street. A few weeks later, she decided to move the litter to our back porch. During her move, we found two of the kittens under a rose bush in the back yard. One of those kittens was Arabella.
Arabella was a most curious and gracious cat. She got along with everyone in the household – which is no mean feat given the numbers she had to deal with. She always wanted to be in on any action going on about the house. She was one of the first in line for dinner and she loved to race the hoomans into rooms she knew she shouldn’t be in – only to let everyone know she was “trapped” by emitting her soft mew-mew-mews to let someone know she wanted out.
A special thank you goes out to Arabella’s medical team at Sunset Animal Clinic and especially to her housemates who kept her company during her last few days.
Arabella - Papa Stoney and Mama Valerie love you so very much and will miss you and your mew-mew-mews behind all those doors.
Enjoy your journey across the Bridge. Your brothers and sisters are waiting for you.
We will see you soon, sweet girl…
