In Loving Memory of Loki ( Boss) Stephenson
Beneath the velvet canopy of a winter's eve on December 11, 2024, Loki, our magnificent German Shepherd, emerged into the world like a shooting star—brimming with promise and destined to illuminate our lives. Affectionately dubbed Boss for the regal authority he commanded with effortless grace, he grew into a colossus of strength, his robust frame a living ode to the wonders of creation. Yet, for all his might, Loki was a gentle giant at heart, his protective spirit a warm shield enveloping his dog and cat companions, and extending tenderly to his human kin, where loyalty flowed as freely as the rivers of the cosmos.
In his fleeting year among us, Loki wove threads of joy and guardianship into our days, his thunderous bark a harmonious echo through earthly valleys, his wise eyes reflecting the infinite. He stood as a vigilant sentinel, teaching us that true power blooms in acts of love—even amidst the transient veils of human error, such as a vet's misguided verdict, which briefly dimmed his radiant path but could not eclipse the divine spark within.
Now, having crossed the rainbow bridge at 8:30 a.m. on December 5, 2025, we envision Loki soaring through the solar system's grand ballet, his playful essence—echoing the Norse trickster of lore—twinkling amid the constellations, where the divine architect's tapestry unfurls in celestial patterns of stars and hope. Though Loki now resides among the stars, his essence remains with us, a constant reminder to embrace the beauty and joy of life. In this sacred weave, he imparts lessons of enduring hope: that love transcends the veil, turning sorrow into stardust, and every farewell into a promise of reunion in the eternal light.
Loki leaves behind a tapestry of hearts forever touched—his human family: Austin and Andy, Alicia and Dillon, Lisa and Scott, and Rick Stephenson; and his beloved fur kin: his little brother Perseus and his devoted mother, Bullet and sister Kali Stephenson, whom he also adored. May his watchful gaze from the heavens guide us, a beacon of grace in the vast, loving universe.
